Tai Chi Weekend Break

Braziers Park, Ipsden, Oxfordshire OX10 6AN

date to be announced

An architectural treasure hidden deep in the Oxfordshire countryside, tranquil Braziers Park provides a comfortable and attractive venue , It’s large terrace enables us to spend as much time as possible practising Tai Chi outdoors. Our weekend break will have an informal friendly atmosphere supported by the staff that live and work here.

Braziers Park is one of the oldest secular intentional communities in Europe. Around 20 people live and work in this beautiful, Grade 2 listed, Strawberry Hill Gothic mansion house. The estate is 55 acres of meadows and woodland close to the Ridgeway, Chilterns and the Thames. Perfect for a variety of places to try out your Tai Chi.

Delicious meals are prepared in the kitchen from quality raw ingredients. Many of Brazier Park’s own vegetables and fruits are harvested and used for desserts, jam, juices and cordials.  The food served is as organic, locally sourced, and free-trade as possible. Pigs, chickens, and ducks are kept on the working farm at Braziers Park.

In these unique and peaceful surroundings we’ll learn Traditional Yang style Tai Chi. The learning will be reinforced by regular practise throughout the weekend. Expert tuition is offered, giving all participants opportunities to develop mindfulness skills and feeling-body sensitivity. We’ll create a sense of community with our shared practise.

I am privileged to have been taught by Master John Ding 7th generation traditional Yang style, Master Dong Zeng Chen and his son Alex traditional Yang style, Master Sangeetam founder of the Golden Flower Tai Chi Association. During the weekend I will share some of the knowledge and skills I have gained from over 25 years of learning from these Masters.

Tai Chi is a profound art. No human in one lifetime could possibly be proficient in all aspects of the training it takes to reach the highest level of demonstrable skills. Each Tai Chi teacher passes on what they are good at, what they refine and what they deem necessary to share, to ensure that the pinnacle attainments of Tai Chi can continue to flourish.

The weekend is focused on learning Tai Chi Principles, including Chi Gung, Meditation, discussion and partner work which all take place during the weekend, appropriate to the level of the participants, from beginner to advanced.

Come and join us for a relaxing and revitalising weekend. Spend time with like-heartminded people. Meet old friends as well as make new friends.
