Michael Richards aims to teach and promote high quality Tai Chi and Chi Gung. These arts help people of all ages to maintain and increase their health, well being and vitality. Good quality teaching allows you to obtain a foundation in the basics of Tai Chi and then progress to learn and understand subtle aspects of the energy work of Tai Chi.

We will visit DancingTreeFarm. This is a permaculture nature reserve, unique on the island of Corfu. We will use the naturally potent environment there to help us understand how principles of pure nature relate to principles of Tai Chi practice.

Previous Tai Chi Holiday

Villa Amatista, Lanzarote

Famara practice

We worked on a Yang Style Tai Chi Form, eating great home cooked food, making excursions around the island and having a good time! On this Tai Chi Holiday we all used the opportunity to deepen the relationship with ourselves and with other people.

Villa Amatista was our home for the week. We discovered this unique venue lovingly built by someone who is sensitively tuned in to the island. Each apartment has it’s own design, which you could share with others or stay in by yourself. This holiday is generally for smaller groups so plenty of room for everyone. Food was prepared with good health and vitality in mind.

The programme is designed to fulfil the needs of whoever joins the holiday. Generally, for three days we immersed ourselves in learning or progressing our Tai Chi. The daily schedule then changed so we could go on excursions and or spend time alone if preferred.

Everyone participated in this holiday to the level that supports them relaxing and that allowed them to generate their well-being.

We explored the nearby island of La Graciosa, a genuine “No news, no shoes” island, where the pace of life is slow, with a capital “S”.

Previous participants have said……

Thank you for this very special Tai Chi holiday.I am very grateful for all the stillness and grace that has been arriving in me; for all the wisdom and teachings you have shared with such patience and humour;for the privilege for being able to practice Tai Chi in all the wonderful places in nature that you have chosen to help attune me with the elements and myself;for  all the relax, all the fun and all the ease, and the revelations that have come to me about my life and myself.   ZB

Relax!  Michael led our group with a gentle authority, opening up the possibility of “doing less so more can happen”. Daily practise of Tai Chi and Chi Quing and meditation created space for body, mind and spirit to connect. The group was supportive and created fun alongside working hard. ST – England

All my business thoughts calmed down. It gave me a lot of joy to follow Michael’s relaxed, concentrated  movements. First to be totally in the body to let the energy flow. The ocean, the sun, the earth, the waves helped us ….breathing in……breathing out. Michael shows us how to be where the inside meets the outside. NOW, that’s a holiday.        T- Germany

I went on this holiday with the intention to have fun whilst re-connecting to Tai Chi. I enjoyed practicing the form focusing on various principles he explained: flow, breathing, yin-yang, moving from one’s centre.     SH

Previous Tai Chi Holiday

Nikos Apartments, Arillas, Corfu

The Greek island of Corfu with its tranquil beaches and breathtaking sunsets was a truly enchanting location for this one week holiday retreat.  The dense olive and cypress groves, historic villages and friendly locals extended a warm welcome to lovers of nature and Tai Chi enthusiasts alike.

The Nikos apartments in the friendly Corfu village of Arillas was our home for this Tai Chi retreat. The Complex was set beneath a wooded hillside in a fertile valley beside a stream, approximately 900m from the beach on the north west coast of the island.
